Your eyebrows give balance to your eyes and are the first thing anyone notices when they look at you. Hence, brow shaping can either complement you or throw your facial features off completely. This is something that makeup expert Raana Khan gives the highest regard to in her practices.
Here are 4 points every woman can use to maintain a shape that’s personal and perfect for them.
1. Locate Your Starting Points
Flip your tweezer upside down so the open end is pointing downward, and place it vertically alongside the outer edge of the bottom of your nose. The point where the vertex lands marks the beginning of your brow (which should also be about one inch above the inner corner of your eye). Using an eye pencil, draw a vertical line to sketch the start of each brow, then check that the space above the bridge of your nose is centered between them. Remove the strays that fall in between.
2. Mark Your End Points
Lay the tweezer on an angle against your cheek so that the open end is at the bottom of your nose and the other end reaches the outer corner of your eye. The spot where the tweezer intersects your brow is where the hairs should end. Mark it with the eye pencil, then pluck the hairs beyond the line.
3. Determine Your Brow Thickness
Starting just below the fullest part of your brow, use an eye pencil to draw a line along the bottom edge of your brow; it should be above any stray hairs and it should follow the natural shape of your brow’s top line, which may be angled, slightly curved, or even straight. Pluck the strays below the line. Ultimately, your brows should be between a quarter inch and a half inch at their thickest.
4. Shape Your Arch
Look straight into a mirror. The arch should peak above the outer rim of your iris and lie right on your brow bone: “Imagine upside-down check marks, but with soft angles,” says Vucetaj. Mark the point with your eye pencil, then remove a row of hairs along the bottom, from your inner brow point to the peak point. After the peak, shape the tail.

Every week brings a new reason for a revamped look! It’s not always about an occasion, an event or dressing up for a new beginning. Changing up your style and trying out something new can make the monotonous week worthwhile.
Try out at least one of these in-style trends to see what can transform your look this week.
Grey nail polish: Different ways to wear it
Monochrome might be a classic, but sometimes choosing the perfect nail polish colour isn’t so black and white. With the rise in popularity of neutral shades, grey nails have become a top choice whether worn alone or with another nail colour (think: neon accent nail).
The black cat eye: A classic yet simple makeup look.
One of the quickest and most effective ways of turning up the volume on your makeup is the classic black cat eye. The black line, following the curve of your eyelid, make your lashes appear fuller, draws attention to the colour of your eyes, and the ‘flick’ outwards makes your eyes appear larger. It’s a real magic trick that every woman should have up her sleeve!
Sunkissed hair: The ultimate beach babe look.
Are you a summer-loving gal who wishes she could sport a beachy, post-vacation look all year round? Now you can! By using a gradual hair lightening treatment, you can add luminosity and light to your locks for the ultimate sun-kissed hairstyle. Opt for a treatment that gradually lightens the hair without ammonia for natural results that are gentle on your tresses.

Smokey eyes have been in style for quite awhile and there’s no sign this particular trend is dying any time soon. Makeup expert Raana Khan highlights the most common misconception about smokey eyes in the video below; smokey eyes come in many different colours and are in no way tied only to the traditional black smokey eye that was first introduced.
Furthermore, the key to the perfect smokey eye is proper blending. The trick is to make sure all colors are blended together flawlessly. Also, it’s important to pair light base colors with rich dark colors. Some good blends include; soft gold base with deep purple on top, champagne base with bright blue or a peach base with a green hue.

One of the most gorgeous facial appearances of your face is the eyes which is your strongest positive feature. They smile, they laugh, and they cry and can display what you feel kind of like a reflection. So when your eyes have so many expressions for you, it’s your duty to make them look stunning. Sometimes with too much makeup your eyes lose all your emotions.
So isn’t it better to make your eyes look beautiful in a natural way? If your eyes are beautiful, they’ll speak volumes without your saying anything at all. Eyes are one of the most powerful tools a woman can carry. It is always difficult to decide what you want to do for an evening party look. Here is a misty blue makeup technique that is good to go for any type of gathering. Follow these simple steps and make your eyes sparkle more.
Firstly, apply s little amount of concealer to hide any blemishes or spots around your eyes. It can be used to cover up dark circles as well. Put a very small amount where you think the spots are n then massage it through to blend the concealer. Now apply an eye primer to your eye lids to keep the makeup in place for a long lasting effect.
Select your eye shadow colors carefully. For this tutorial we have chosen a shimmery blue shade for the eye lids and a shimmery golden or auburn color for highlights. Try and prefer a darker blue color to give that dark night like effect on your eyes, it will make your eyes look deep and beautiful.
Now begin by lining a dark and thick line of black eye liner at the edge of your eye line. Then take a small blending brush and blend it throughout your eyelid. Be careful not to go too much over the eye lids.
Now take the shimmery blue shade and start applying the color on the inner corner of your eyelids and stretch it along to the outer side, blending it with the darker black color thoroughly. Repeat the process if you think the color is not dark enough. Keep the color within the eye sockets from where the eye bones are.
Once that is done, take a small lining brush with a Q-tip and line the blue color on the lower outer rims of your eyes, right where your eye lashes end. Bring it to the middle and not all the way through.
Highlight your eyes with a soft brush taking the auburn color and brushing it over the upper eye area at the edges of the sockets near your eyebrows. Now take black mascara and curl your lashes with it giving your eyes the final look. You are good to go. Have fun.
